DAN SECRIST
Owner

Dan grew up on the east coast in Chapel Hill, NC and Blacksburg, VA. Dan moved to Vail, CO for a year and then attended the University of Colorado and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Music. After his dreams of becoming a Rockstar did not pan out, Dan found a steady job at a local bank. Dan’s last role at the bank was as a commercial lender helping to finance the dreams of business owners. Dan decided to scratch the entrepreneur itch and in August of2019 he purchased Canyon Plumbing & Heating, Inc.Dan worked hand in hand with the previous Canyon owner Todd Oliver and learned from the best. Dan has had a knack for providing exceptional customer service and is constantly striving for improvement personally and professionally. Dan met his wife while attending CU and they now have 2 kids and enjoy hiking and traveling together.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work? Traveling with my family.
What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? Communication, leadership, team work, problem solving, eagerness & determination.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? Helping people, knowing that I may have helped/made someone’s day.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work? Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family.
If I could only eat one meal everyday for the rest of my life, it would be... 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 slices of bacon, grits, slice of sourdough toast, glass of orange juice, cheese burger with all the fixins’, seasoned fries, side salad with ranch, an ice cold refreshing Coca-Cola classic, 2 glasses of water, 12 oz rib eye steak medium rare, baked potato with butter and sour cream, medley of fresh vegetables, and a slice of chocolate cake with a tall glass of milk. No one ever said it had to be a small meal!

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Hands on problem solving for sure. Service work can get tricky and requires quite a bit of pre-planning and thinking outside the box. It can be pretty rewarding once a big job has been completed.
